What We Do
Meliora Escapes is a luxury travel consultancy. We curate hotel and resort recommendations for discerning travelers worldwide, from honeymoon couples and wellness seekers to brands planning influencer retreats and corporate events. Our service is simple: tell us how you want to travel, and we find the property that fits your exact preferences, dates, and budget.
We operate across 180+ countries with access to over 300,000 hotels, resorts, villas, and unique properties through our global trade partnerships. This gives us access to rates and inventory that are not available on standard consumer booking platforms.
Why "Meliora"
The name comes from the Latin comparative of "good": better, improved, superior. It reflects our philosophy. We are not a directory or a booking engine. We are a consultancy. Every recommendation is a considered judgment about which property will give you the best version of the trip you have in mind. We would rather send you somewhere extraordinary and slightly outside your comfort zone than recommend the obvious five-star that everyone already knows.
Our Access
Most travelers book through OTAs (Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com) or direct with hotels. Both routes have limitations. OTAs prioritize properties that pay higher commissions, and direct booking rarely offers better rates unless the hotel has a compelling loyalty incentive.
Meliora Escapes operates through travel trade partnerships, which means we access hotel inventory at rates negotiated for industry professionals rather than general consumers. For luxury properties, 5-star resorts, and new openings where standard rates are high, this frequently results in meaningfully better pricing for our clients. And unlike a search engine, we apply judgment: we know which properties punch above their star rating, which have had service issues, and which new openings are genuinely worth the premium.
What We Specialize In
Our deepest expertise covers four areas. The first is Indian Ocean and Southeast Asian luxury: Maldives overwater resorts, Bali wellness retreats, Thailand beach escapes, and Bangkok city hotels. The second is the emerging Saudi Arabia luxury landscape, including Shebara, Desert Rock, and the Amaala developments that represent the most ambitious resort build-out in history. The third is honeymoon and romance travel: we understand that a honeymoon requires a level of precision and personalisation that generic booking platforms cannot deliver. The fourth is brand retreats and influencer press trips: group bookings, venue sourcing, and travel logistics for brands, agencies, and event planners.
How the Service Works
Our service is free for travelers. You submit your travel preferences through our trip planner or contact us directly via WhatsApp. We review your requirements and send a personalized shortlist of 3 to 5 properties within 24 hours. You review, ask questions, and book when ready. We earn a commission from the property at the point of booking, which means our incentive is always to find you the right match rather than the most expensive one.
For B2B clients including brands, agencies, and event planners, the same model applies. We source venues, negotiate group rates, and manage travel logistics at no cost to you. Our commission comes from the property.
