1. About Meliora Escapes
Meliora Escapes is a luxury travel consultancy that acts as an intermediary between travelers and hotel and resort properties worldwide. We are not a hotel, resort, airline, or transport provider. We are a travel advisory service that sources, recommends, and facilitates bookings on behalf of our clients.
2. Our Role
When you make a booking through Meliora Escapes, we act as your agent in facilitating that booking with the relevant hotel or resort supplier. The contract for accommodation services is between you and the hotel or resort. Meliora Escapes is not a party to that contract and does not assume the contractual obligations of the hotel or resort.
We earn a commission from the hotel or resort supplier when a booking is confirmed. This commission is paid by the supplier and does not represent an additional charge to you.
3. Enquiries and Recommendations
Submitting an enquiry through our website or contacting us via WhatsApp does not constitute a booking or a reservation. A booking is only confirmed when you have received written confirmation from us and, where applicable, a booking confirmation from the hotel or resort supplier.
Property information including descriptions, pricing, availability, and amenity details is provided in good faith based on information available to us at the time of recommendation. We cannot guarantee that all details remain accurate at the point of booking as hotel information is subject to change without notice.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices quoted are in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated and are subject to availability at the time of booking. Prices may fluctuate between the time of enquiry and the time of booking confirmation. We will always confirm the final price before processing a booking.
Some properties require a deposit or full prepayment at the time of booking. Payment terms are determined by the individual hotel or resort supplier and will be communicated to you in advance of confirmation. Meliora Escapes does not hold client funds directly; payments are processed through our distribution partners' secure systems.
5. Cancellations and Amendments
Cancellation and amendment policies are set by the individual hotel or resort and vary by property, rate type, and booking period. These policies will be clearly communicated to you before you confirm a booking. Meliora Escapes will apply the cancellation or amendment terms as specified by the supplier.
To cancel or amend a booking, contact us as soon as possible via WhatsApp on +971 50 303 2106. Cancellations and amendments are not confirmed until you receive written acknowledgement from us.
In the event that a hotel cancels your confirmed booking, we will work to source an equivalent or superior alternative at no additional cost. If no suitable alternative is available, a full refund of any amounts paid will be arranged.
6. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all clients take out comprehensive travel insurance prior to travel. This should include cover for trip cancellation, medical expenses, personal liability, and loss of personal belongings. Meliora Escapes does not provide travel insurance and accepts no liability for costs arising from the absence of adequate insurance cover.
7. Passports, Visas, and Travel Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure that you hold a valid passport and any required visas or entry documentation for your destination. Requirements vary by nationality and destination and are subject to change. Meliora Escapes provides general destination information in good faith but accepts no liability for any costs or losses arising from failure to obtain the correct documentation.
8. Liability
Meliora Escapes acts as an intermediary and is not liable for the acts, omissions, failures, or negligence of any hotel, resort, or other supplier. Our liability to you in connection with any booking is limited to the commission received in relation to that booking.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special losses including loss of enjoyment, loss of earnings, or costs of alternative arrangements arising from any failure of a supplier to deliver the contracted service.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
9. Complaints
If you experience a problem with your accommodation during your stay, we ask that you raise it with the hotel management in the first instance. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, contact us via WhatsApp on +971 50 303 2106 as soon as possible so that we can assist. Complaints raised after your return should be submitted in writing within 28 days of your checkout date.
10. Force Majeure
Neither Meliora Escapes nor its supplier partners can accept liability or pay compensation for any disruption to travel arrangements caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These include but are not limited to: war or threat of war, civil unrest, natural disasters, pandemics or public health emergencies, government action or travel restrictions, or extreme weather events.
11. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.
