The resort is about the quality of the experience, not the breadth of the facility list. Fewer activities, more intention. The golf academy at Velaa

The Velaa Golf Academy is one of only two golf facilities in the Maldives. The nine-hole, par-3 course was designed by Jose Maria Olazabal and stretches across the island and out over the water. It is genuinely playable, not a novelty putting green. The Academy is staffed by PGA professionals offering individual instruction. For clients who play golf and for whom the ability to play during a Maldives trip is a meaningful consideration, Velaa is the only property at this level that delivers it.
