Saudi Arabia's visa rules no longer require a woman to travel with a mahram in order to obtain an Umrah visa or to enter the Kingdom. Women can apply and travel independently or with a group of other women under the current rules.
Two practical caveats matter for Indian pilgrims specifically. First, individual operators sometimes apply their own conditions on top of the Saudi rules, so ask your operator directly rather than assuming. Second, religious opinion on the question varies, and many scholars still recommend travelling in a trusted group; if that matters to you, speak to a scholar you trust rather than taking a travel company's word for it.

Indian pilgrims have generally applied for the Umrah visa through a licensed operator recognised by the Saudi authorities, rather than applying directly on the Nusuk platform as travellers from some other markets can. The route has been adjusted more than once in recent years.

The consistent requirements are a passport with sufficient remaining validity, a digital photograph, meningococcal vaccination, and confirmed accommodation. Some nationalities have additional health requirements, so check the current list with official Saudi guidance.
