Why companies are doing this
Across the Gulf, sponsoring Umrah for employees has moved from an occasional gesture to a structured benefit: annual employee programmes, Ramadan reward journeys for top performers, and leadership retreats built around the pilgrimage. It is a benefit that resonates in a way a bonus cannot, and companies that do it well treat the hotel arrangements as the part that must be flawless. Nobody remembers the invoice; everyone remembers whether the rooms were right.
How a corporate block is structured
| Requirement | How we handle it |
|---|---|
| Leadership and staff tiers | Suites for leadership, premium rooms for the team, one hotel or two within the complex |
| Invoicing | Single corporate invoice for the block, in AED, USD, GBP or EUR |
| Name changes | Handled close to travel; corporate lists always move, and the block is built to allow it |
| Communication | One Meliora consultant to one nominated coordinator, nothing scattered |
| Discretion | Default. No client references anywhere without written permission |
From our Dubai office
Corporate blocks are arranged from our Dubai office by a named consultant in your time zone. We have delivered corporate programmes in demanding settings, including retreats and launches for international brands, and the same standard applies here: the coordinator gets one thread, the leadership gets what leadership expects, and the team lands to rooms that are simply right.
Start with two numbers
Approximate headcount and a date window is all we need to prepare structured options with corporate terms. The conversation stays confidential either way.

Yes, increasingly. Employee Umrah programmes, Ramadan reward journeys and leadership retreats built around Umrah are established practice among GCC companies and family offices, and we arrange the hotel side of these programmes from our Dubai office.
Discretion, invoicing and flexibility. Corporate bookings typically need a single corporate invoice, controlled communication through one coordinator, name changes closer to travel, and sometimes tiered room categories for leadership and staff. We build all of that into the block.
Yes. A common structure is suites for leadership and executive guests with premium rooms for the wider team, all inside the same hotel or complex, on one invoice, with one rooming list.
Fairmont and Raffles carry the suite inventory that leadership tiers usually want, while Swissôtel Makkah and Pullman ZamZam handle larger team blocks well. Many corporate groups combine two properties inside the complex.
Yes, and by default. We do not reference client names anywhere without written permission, communication runs through your nominated coordinator only, and the booking is handled by one named consultant in Dubai.
Three things: approximate headcount with any leadership tier, your date window, and your coordinator's WhatsApp or email. We come back with structured options and corporate terms for your window.
